Terms and conditions:
These Terms and Conditions govern the SOGO Membership and Rewards Loyalty Program operated by SOGO (K.L.) Department Store Sdn. Bhd. The program allows cardholders to earn SOGO Reward Points on selected SOGO purchases at all SOGO outlets in Malaysia and receive additional membership benefits outlined in the Terms and Conditions of the program (the ‘Program’).
1. Membership
1.1. Upon joining the Program, each member (‘Member’) will receive a digital SOGO card (‘e-Card’) and a unique membership number, which will entitle the Member to participate in the Program.
1.2. The e-Card is tied to one Principal account, limited to one per person, and is for personal use by the registered cardholder only. e-Cards cannot be shared, distributed, or used for commercial purposes.
1.3. SOGO reserves the right to suspend or cancel an e-Card, any benefits, or membership to the Program if SOGO believes the e-Card is not being used following these Terms and Conditions.
2. Reward Points
2.1. Members can earn loyalty points (‘Reward Points’) on qualifying purchases at SOGO, depending on the Member’s Membership Tier at the time of purchase (see below for further details on ‘Qualifying Purchases and Exclusions’ and ‘Membership Tiers’).
2.2. Reward Points are earned on the total Ringgit Malaysia value of eligible purchases, rounded down to the nearest full Ringgit Malaysia. Reward Points cannot be earned when redeeming points to pay for a purchase.
2.3. Members must present their e-Card at the time of payment to collect Reward Points.
2.4.Requests to add SOGO Rewards points from transactions where the e-Card was not presented at the time of purchase will be considered on a discretionary basis, and SOGO reserves the right to limit the number of these transactions applied to the e-Card. Reward Points may only be earned on purchases made by the Member.
2.5.If a Member receives a refund or experiences any financial adjustment on a transaction, the corresponding Rewards points will be appropriately recalculated.
2.6.In alignment with our Returns and Exchange Policy, we recommend that Members consider exchanging products within the same brand or category rather than opting for refunds. In cases where an exchange is not feasible and a refund is requested, please be aware that the reinstatement of Reward Points will be subject to a 14-day cooling-off period.
2.7. Notwithstanding 2.6 above, Members may choose to release Reward Points before the expiry of the 14-day cooling-off period. However, this action once taken is irreversible and the goods purchased cannot be returned or refunded. Members are advised to take careful consideration before they opt for such early release of points.
3. Qualifying Purchases and Exclusions
3.1. Certain departments, brands, and services are excluded from some or all of the Program Benefits and offers (including, but not limited to, those set out below). The list of exclusions may change from time to time at SOGO’s discretion. Please contact Customer Service Centre for a full list of exclusions.
3.2. Earning and redeeming Reward Points: Members cannot earn or redeem Reward Points on excluded products or in excluded departments, including on the following:
3.2.1. Purchase of Gift Cards and Gift Vouchers.
3.2.2. Use of Reward e-Coupons and Reward e-Card redeemed through the SOGO Rewards Program and Promotional Campaigns.
3.2.3. Purchases at non-participating Brands and Tenanted Counters.
3.2.4. Restaurants, cafes, and other eateries or kiosks at all SOGO outlets.
3.2.5. Delivery Charges and other Service-related charges.

4. Membership Tiers
4.1. The SOGO Card Gold Membership will be awarded to existing or new SOGO Card members who have spent a minimum of RM6,000 and above within 365 days and/or upon sign-up.
4.2. The SOGO Card Platinum Membership will be awarded to existing SOGO Card members, Gold Card members or new members who have spent RM12,000 and above within 365 days and/or upon sign-up.
4.3. The upgrade and reinstatement of membership levels will be based on Member’s past 365 days’ spending as stated in 4.1 and 4.2 for each membership level.
4.4. The spending amount and membership level will be monitored by SOGO Membership System and to be upgraded/reinstated accordingly.
4.5. SOGO reserves the right to substitute and/or change the spending levels required for each Membership Tier at any time. Members can progress to a higher Membership Tier during a calendar year and retain that higher Membership Tier for the remainder of that calendar year and the following Reward Year.
4.6. To retain their higher Membership Tier for a further calendar year, Members must meet the relevant spending threshold during the Reward Year. Otherwise, their Membership Tier will be reinstated by one level after the end of the Reward Year.
4.7. If a Membership Tier upgrade is reversed, any purchases or Multiplier Points earned during extra points campaigns due to returns and refunds will be deducted accordingly from the Member's total spending used to determine their Membership Tier. Members are encouraged to consider exchanging products within the same brand/category instead of requesting refunds.
5. Redeeming Reward Points
5.1. The conversion rate for Reward Points is subject to change at SOGO's discretion, without prior notice.
5.2. Members can use their Reward Points to partially pay for purchases or redeem Rewards Gifts, provided they have a minimum number of Reward Points in their account at the time of redemption.
5.3. Reward Points become available for redemption in blocks, where one block equals the prevailing number of Reward Points required for redemption, e.g., RM10 = X,XXX Points. Once a member accumulates enough Reward Points for a block, they can use them for redemption.
5.4. Reward Points below the required minimum for a block cannot be redeemed and will remain in the member's account until they accumulate enough points for redemption or until the Reward Points expire.
5.5. Members' Reward Points are valid for 24 months from the earning date. They expire on the last day of the 24th month, e.g., a point earned on January 15, 2023, expires on January 31, 2025. Only 'Month-End Expiring Points' will be shown in the MySOGO App.
5.6. If a member has used Reward Points to pay for their purchase and needs to return or refund the item, the refund will be subject to SOGO’s Return and Exchange Policy. Members are encouraged to consider exchanging products within the same brand/category instead of requesting refunds.
5.7. If a member's Reward Points balance becomes negative, SOGO can suspend their e-Card until the account is settled.
6. Bonus points
6.1. Members may qualify for Bonus Points on certain qualifying purchases from time to time, such as during Members’ Day Sale, Extra Points Campaigns and 2x Birthday Bonus Points.
6.2. In addition to the SOGO Rewards program's general terms, Bonus Points offers are subject to specific terms in the promotional communication. Find complete details, including offer validity, redemption instructions, and exclusions in the promotion's communication.
6.3. Bonus Points are only available during the validity period stated in the individual promotional communication. Members cannot combine Bonus Points with any other offer.
6.4. When redeeming a Bonus Points offer from an e-Coupon, members must present the e-Coupon via the MySOGO App. Duplications or screenshots are not accepted. These offers are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be converted to cash.
6.5. Silver, Gold, and Platinum Card Members can earn 2x Birthday Bonus Reward Points for 15 days during their birthday month—7 days before, during, and after their birthday. To qualify, the birthday must be registered in the member's Rewards account.
7. SOGO Rewards Benefits
7.1. As a SOGO Rewards member, you'll enjoy exclusive benefits based on your Membership Tier ('Benefits'). Please be aware that these Benefits are subject to availability, and SOGO retains the right to substitute or modify them at its discretion. To redeem any benefit, members must present their e-Card via the App account.
7.2. SILVER Membership (Tier 3)
7.2.1. Validity: TWO (02) Years
7.2.2. Spending: RM1 - RM5,999
7.2.3. Reward Points: RM1 = 1 Point. RM1 = 0.5 Point for Foodhall.
7.2.4. Birthday: Receive 2x Points for 15 days in your birth month.
7.2.5. Members’ Day Sale: Enjoy exclusive access to our Members’ Day Sale.
7.2.6. Gift Wrapping: Enjoy complimentary standard gift wrapping service.
7.3. GOLD Membership (Tier 2)
7.3.1. Validity: One (01) year with a 6-month grace period
7.3.2. Spending: RM6,000 - RM11,999.
7.3.3. Reward Points: RM1 = 1 Point, RM1 = 0.5 Point for Foodhall.
7.3.4. Upgrade Rewards: Receive 6,000 Points upon upgrade and X number of conditional e-Coupons.
7.3.5. Birthday: Receive 3x Points for 15 days in your birth month.
7.3.6. VIP Lounge Access: Enjoy complimentary lounge drinks and facilities in our VIP Lounge.
7.3.7. Gift Wrapping: Enjoy complimentary standard gift wrapping service.
7.3.8. Services: Receive other services such as the assistance of a personal shopper which may be determined by SOGO from time to time.
7.3.9. Events: Enjoy exclusive access to our Special Events and Members' Day Sale.
7.4. PLATINUM Membership (Tier 1)
7.4.1. Validity: One (01) year with a 6-month grace period.
7.4.2. Spending: RM12,000 & above.
7.4.3. Reward Points: RM1 = 1 Point, RM1 = 0.5 Point for Food Hall.
7.4.4. Upgrade Rewards: Receive 9,000 Points upon upgrade and X number of conditional e-Coupons.
7.4.5. Birthday: Receive 3x Points for 15 days in your birth month.
7.4.6. VIP Lounge Access: Enjoy complimentary lounge drinks in our VIP Lounge.
7.4.7. Gift Wrapping: Enjoy complimentary standard wrapping and service.
7.4.8. Services: Receive other services such as the assistance of a personal shopper which may be determined by SOGO from time to time.
7.4.9. Events: Enjoy exclusive access to our Special Events and Members' Day Sale.
8. In addition to the remaining terms and conditions of the Program, the Benefits are subject to the following terms and conditions:
8.1. Exclusive Members’ Discounts – Members are eligible to receive additional discounts on qualifying purchases at SOGO stores during campaign periods throughout the year. Departmental and brand exclusions may apply.
8.2. Extra Reward Points on Selected Days – Members may be eligible to earn additional Reward Points on qualifying purchases at SOGO on selected days. Departmental and brand exclusions may apply.
9. Updates and Changes to the Program
9.1. We may update the Program's terms and conditions without notice. Stay informed by checking www.sogo.com.my for the latest SOGO Rewards Terms & Conditions.
9.2. Using your e-Card signifies acceptance of the current Program terms and any changes. Additional rules may apply to SOGO employees and affiliates, communicated separately.
9.3. SOGO reserves the right to revoke a member's membership without notice, resulting in the forfeiture of Reward Points.
10. General
10.1 Members may be required to provide identification when presenting their e-Card, including when redeeming Reward Points.
10.2 Members are responsible for any fees, costs, charges, claims, or liabilities (including taxes) arising from their membership in the Program.
10.3 Members are required to keep their member profiles up to date with any changes to their contact information, such as mobile phone numbers and email addresses, for App authentication and OTP for password changes, etc. This may also involve updating their home addresses for billing and delivery purposes on the web store shopping.
11. Privacy and Your Data
11.1. SOGO Malaysia and its group companies are independent data controllers of any personal information collected about Members of the Program.
11.2. SOGO will collect and use any personal information provided by the Member following applicable Malaysia data protection legislation, other applicable laws, and these terms and conditions.
11.3. By participating in the Program, Members consent to SOGO collecting and storing their personal information, including name, address, purchases from SOGO, and any additional relevant information to help SOGO make decisions about the products and services that Members may be interested in.
11.4. Where Members interact with other SOGO group companies, SOGO may share this information as independent data controllers to help provide a more bespoke service to Members (including SOGO outlets in Malaysia).
11.5. SOGO (and its group companies, as applicable) will use Members' personal information for the following purposes:
11.5.1. administering the Program, including sharing information with carefully selected third-party partners to assist with Program operations;
11.5.2. with the Member's consent, offering products and services likely to be of interest, including special events, offers, promotions, and publications by post, email, phone, and/or social network; and
11.5.3. market research and statistical analysis.
